About Olin Dive Center
Your authentic gateway into Raja Ampat's underwater world. We combine internationally accredited PADI dive training with deep Papuan roots, heartfelt island hospitality, and dedicated marine conservation.
Our Roots in Raja Ampat
Olin Dive Center was established in Waisai, the gateway capital of Raja Ampat, Papua Barat Daya. Positioned just moments from the primary ferry harbour and the entrance to the Dampier Strait, our basecamp was conceived with a clear vision: to offer world-class diving expeditions while fostering authentic local community engagement.
Unlike liveaboards that briefly pass through, we are an active part of the local community. We source produce locally, partner directly with native Papuan families for overwater homestays, and train local youth in dive safety and marine stewardship.
Our team comprises veteran PADI instructors who have taught diving across the globe, working side-by-side with indigenous Papuan divemasters whose hereditary knowledge of the reefs is second to none.
Our divemasters were born and raised along the Dampier Strait. They have an instinctual understanding of currents, lunar tides, and pelagic migration patterns that cannot be learned from a textbook.
We never crowd dive groups. With a strict maximum of 4 divers per guide, every guest receives attentive care, safety supervision, and personalized critter spotting.
All five Olin Dive vessels are equipped with emergency medical oxygen kits, first aid supplies, satellite communications, life jackets, and backup GPS navigation.
We collaborate directly with indigenous homestay owners and fishing villages across Gam, Kri, and Mansuar, creating sustainable eco-tourism livelihoods.
